Transitioning to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Wellness
In 2009, Datin Sri Abby made a bold decision. She transformed her successful beauty and slimming business into one focused on TCM wellness. The shift was met with resistance from both clients and the industry, as skepticism and unfamiliarity surrounded TCM practices.
Educating her clients about the benefits of holistic wellness required patience and persistence. Adding to the challenge, finding therapists skilled in both beauty treatments and TCM knowledge was no easy task. Datin Sri Abby had to invest heavily in training. This ensured her team will deliver on her vision.
Despite these obstacles, Datin Sri Abby remained unwavering in her commitment to TCM Wellness. Her steadfast belief is that natural beauty starts with good health. This belief continues to set her apart. She redefines beauty as more than just surface-level care.
How TCM Became Her Guiding Philosophy
Abby’s journey with TCM began long before she ever thought of integrating it into her business. Growing up, TCM was a natural part of her daily life. When she caught a cold as a child, her grandmother didn’t rely on a doctor’s visit. Instead, she would grab a spoon and do gua sha on Abby’s back, gently easing her symptoms. For bloating, her mother would have her lie down. She would place a coin on her belly button with a piece of paper. Then she would light it and cover it with a cup. Miraculously, the discomfort would disappear.
These experiences became a cornerstone in shaping her business growth. They guided her toward blending TCM wellness into her beauty philosophy.
Her connection to TCM deepened when she faced personal challenges with infertility. Conventional medicine fell short. She turned to TCM. It became a pivotal part of her journey to motherhood and the joy of raising three children.
Today, Datin Sri Abby remains a passionate advocate for TCM, blending its ancient wisdom with her vision of beauty.
Founding Di Yi TCM
Datin Sri Abby always dreamt of opening her own TCM clinic which is why she founded Di Yi TCM. This clinic represents a new era of TCM, where ancient wisdom meets modern wellness to redefine health and beauty.
